Solar panels

Domestic and commercial solar since 2010. Fullpower uses current software modelling and site visits — not generic phone quotes. We explain panel positions, shading and realistic savings before you commit.

How we approach solar

How can I reduce my electricity bills?

The most effective way to cut bills long term is a well-designed solar system — sized for how you use power, not how many panels fit on the roof.

There is no cookie-cutter system

Every home and business is different. We design for your usage, roof and future plans — including batteries when they genuinely make sense.

You could save thousands per year with the right system design — ask us to model it properly.

Seven common mistakes

  1. Not educating yourself first and deciding too fast
  2. Not getting multiple quotes and guidance
  3. Not understanding the rebate
  4. Not researching panel brands and reputation
  5. Not knowing your rights with dishonest providers
  6. Assuming your roof is unsuitable
  7. Buying under pressure from a “once off” sale

We are a family business: honest communication from first call to after install. SAA accredited solar and battery installers for residential and commercial work.

Bill trajectory

What makes a system work best?

Understanding usage first — typical homes use around 20 kWh per day. Overall system capacity matters more than panel count alone.

Line chart comparing illustrative annual electricity cost over fifteen years. One series stays high and rises gradually for grid supply only. The other stays much lower with a well-designed solar system, with a slight upward trend.

Typical bill trajectory

Illustrative shape only — your tariffs, usage and system size will differ.

  • Well-designed solar (residual grid charges)
  • Grid supply only (usage + tariff creep)

Solar batteries

A battery adds usable storage to your solar: less exported power going unused, more control over when you draw from the grid, and optional backup where the equipment and installation support it. Fullpower plans and installs battery systems for Perth homes and businesses — new builds, upgrades and retrofits to existing PV.

Solar batteries — detail

Professional installation matters for safety, warranty and compliance. Our SAA accredited solar and battery installers handle assessment, hardware selection and integration with your panels and inverter so the system is fit for purpose and documented correctly.

What drives the cost of a battery installation?

Quotes depend on factors such as:

  • Battery brand, capacity (kWh) and warranty tier
  • Whether your existing system needs a hybrid inverter, AC coupling or other compatibility work
  • Labour, parts, and any switchboard or mains upgrades
  • Monitoring, app setup and integration with your solar gear
  • Government or retailer incentives available at the time

We break this down in plain language before you proceed — no one-size-fits-all pricing without a proper look at the site.

Benefits of battery storage

  • Use more of your own solar by storing daytime generation for evening use
  • Shift stored energy into peak tariff periods where it saves the most
  • Optional backup for essential circuits during outages, where the system supports it
  • Lower grid reliance and emissions from a single, well-integrated install
  • Stay ready for retailer or virtual power plant programs if they suit your setup
  • A quality, compliant system supports warranty, insurance and resale confidence

What is involved in a battery installation?

Mounting a battery is only part of the job. We check compatibility, fault paths, ventilation and network rules, then commission so the battery and solar operate together as designed.

  • On-site inspection and review of your usage and existing solar (if any)
  • Battery and inverter pairing chosen for your roof, switchboard and goals
  • Installation, any switchboard or wiring upgrades, and safe integration with the PV system
  • Configuration, monitoring handover and performance checks after commissioning
  • Work documented to meet applicable Australian Standards and network requirements

Whether you are AC-coupling to an older inverter or pairing with a new hybrid unit, we aim for a stable, maintainable setup you can live with for the life of the warranty.

Why Fullpower for batteries?

  • Experienced electrical team with SAA accreditation for solar and battery work
  • Solutions sized from your real usage and tariff patterns, not hype
  • Reputable equipment lines installed to manufacturer and network rules
  • Ongoing support through the same business that did the install

Common questions

Can any electrician install a battery? Battery storage tied to solar must be done by licensed electrical workers following applicable standards and network requirements. Our installers hold the SAA accreditation expected for compliant solar and battery work.

Is DIY battery install a good idea? No. There is high-voltage and energy-storage risk, plus warranty and compliance implications. Use a qualified installer.

How can I help a battery last? Install in a cool, dry, ventilated space; use monitoring; and book servicing when recommended. Most quality units are designed for many years of cycling when operated within spec.

Can I add a battery to existing solar? Yes, in many cases. We assess the inverter, panel layout and switchboard to choose a retrofit path that is safe and efficient.

Are there battery rebates in WA? Programs change over time. We stay across current federal, state and retailer offers and can tell you what may apply to your property when we quote.
